David Weitzman joined Clement & Drotz in 2021. He focuses his practice on civil litigation, including construction defect, general liability, personal injury and premises liability. David earned his B.A. from the University of California at Santa Barabra and graduated from Southwestern School of Law in 1993 Cum Laude. Prior to completing his B.A., David served in the U.S. Air Force as a Security Specialist and was stationed in Murted, Turkey and Misawa, Japan. After graduating from law school, David practiced law in California for more than 25 years primarily focusing on civil litigation.
David is a seasoned trial attorney and has gained wisdom during this time by engaging in all phases of the litigation process, including the initial pleading phase, discovery, motion practice, mediation/arbitration and trial work. David has also done appellate work, including drafting a Petition for Review to the California Supreme Court. David also practiced in the area of California worker’s compensation and was recognized as a Certified Specialist by the California State Bar. During his time practicing worker’s compensation, David specialized in defending against professional athlete claims involving traumatic brain injury/Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE) and lectured on that topic to attorneys and claims professionals.
David moved to the Pacific Northwest in 2019 and has enjoyed the change of environment. During his free time, David enjoys playing ice hockey, a passion that started at the age of 5.
David is licensed to practice law in California and Washington.
